Many people are replacing their desktops these days, but is this actually a worthwhile use of money? Desktops will never fully be replaced, will they? Aren’t they faster, better looking, and more affordable than laptops? Well, it seems like the rules might be changing a little bit. There are a lot of families out there who are foregoing their old desktops, and are letting them gather dust and cobwebs on the desk while they snatch up their laptop bag to take with them instead.
People really flip over mobility these days, especially since it doesn’t make sense to leave your computer all day long while you are out and about. Some people need mobility so bad that they will shell out extra money for it… like business owners who need access to their email all day, and on-the-go professionals who need to stay connected 24/7.
It does indeed seem like society is moving towards a place that never stops moving! So then, we can see how it is inevitable… laptops will definitely replace desktops in the future, but the big question is when. Will it be this year? Will we look back on this year as the one that killed the desktop in all but the most professional of settings, or will they stay around for awhile?
Well, I still use my desktop, but only for what my basic laptop cannot handle, things like heavy graphics and video. But hey, I do everything else on a mobile scale, and the evidence suggests that this is what a lot of people are getting into as well. They only use their desktops when they have to, opting for laptops whenever they can because they are actually a lot handier! So, what about you? Will you be replacing your desktop soon?
